When their plane was struck by lightning during a flight, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle narrowly avoided a life-threatening incident.

The terrifying incident occurred while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were flying to Amsterdam for a party when their £40 million luxury jet was struck by lightning on the nose.

The location where the lightning became stuck was said to be very close to its navigational equipment.

While the couple arrived at Schiphol unharmed, the plane, which they hired for £20,000, was reportedly repaired for nine days and was fitted with a new nose cone after the incident.
