Prince William and Kate Middleton dressed up to greet the cast of Top Gun: Maverick in London’s Leicester Square on May 19, 

On Thursday, May 19, Prince William and Kate Middleton joined Tom Cruise and his castmates in Leicester Square for the UK premiere of Top Gun: Maverick.

The royals dressed in black and white for the occasion, with William in a tux (with F-18 plane-embroidered shoes!) and Kate in a Roland Mouret off-the-shoulder gown

Cruise kindly assisted Kate in ascending the stairs and into the theatre.

Outside the venue, William and Kate met more cast members of the film, including Miles Teller and Jennifer Connelly.

The duchess spoke with the stars; according to the Express, she previously met Cruise at the 2021 Euro final in London.

Cruise had just returned from the Cannes Film Festival in France, where he received a standing ovation for his performance in Top Gun: Maverick.

Kate also spoke with Jon Hamm, the actor of Top Gun: Maverick.

Cruise and William were deep in conversation as they walked down the theatre stairs.
