Pasoori, on the other hand, is a song that has made history since it first broadcast. Pasoori, sung by Ali Sethi and Shae Gill. Both of whom are debutants has surpassed one million views, raising the bar for the season.

However, some feathers have been ruffled by a recent article in The New Yorker. Priyanka Mattoo, an Indian journalist, wrote an article about how the Coke Studio hit is ‘uniting India and Pakistan.’

During his tours in India, Ali Sethi, came up with the idea for the song, according to the report. For the unversed, Ali Sethi revealed that making Pasoori took a year.

“No, you clown,” said another. It’s a Pakistani song performed by Pakistani artists. Nothing has to do with India. Is this the kind of biased, sloppy journalism you endorse, The New Yorker?”
