Shawn Mendes’ Wonder album will be released in close partnership with ecologically beneficial organisations.

The artist announced his plans in a brief statement, saying, “No plan is flawless, but we regard this as a beginning point.” We are at a critical juncture in climate history, and it is critical to me that this trip is a step in the right path.”

Andrew Gertler, Mendes’ manager and the creator of AG Artists, was the one who went into depth about the concept.

“We have the potential to lead by example, not only for our fans and our business, but for everyone,” he told Billboard.

“The objective is for true green travelling to become the standard sooner rather than later, and that as technology and our methods advance, it will also become more and more cost-effective so that it can be adopted across all tours, big and small.”

“From changing how our merch was designed and created, to changing how the tour and our production travels and the fuel we use, to providing our tour team and fans with actions and information to make their tour experience more sustainable, we set a goal to reduce our per-show footprint by 50% from the previous world tour.”

“From there, we were able to determine our remaining CO2e footprint and are aiming to offset above and above what we are producing to guarantee the tour is not only carbon neutral, but carbon negative.”
