With her controversial comment about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation case, model and actress Julia Fox has sparked a heated debate on the internet.

The Uncut Gems actress recently spoke out in support of the Aquaman actress, becoming the latest celebrity to weigh in on the ongoing explosive trial.

Fox, who made headlines for her whirlwind romance with rapper Kanye West, commented on a case post, writing, “She never had the power in the relationship to be abusive to him.” Did she strike him? Yes. Was it mistreatment? No. You must have power in order to abuse it. She was 25 years old. He was clearly far more powerful, both physically and financially.”

While Depp and Heard’s trial had already divided the internet, Fox’s comment added fuel to the fire.

Her contentious remark went viral and received a lot of attention on social media.
