The cinematic adaption of the book ‘The Tiger’ will star Alexander Skarsgard and Dane DeHaan. In the upcoming picture, Skarsgard will portray the head of a squad of men entrusted with defending endangered cats from poachers and loggers. He is presently starring in Robert Eggers’ “The Northman.”

Myroslav Slaboshpytskyi, well known for his 2014 feature “The Tribe,” wrote the screenplay and will also direct the film.

The film follows Vanzin (Skarsgard) as his sense of duty is tested when he is entrusted with tracking down and exterminating a tiger that murdered a poacher in self-defense in the late 1990s.

Kanchuga, a young environmental scientist and the team’s newest member, will be played by DeHaan.
