Tom Cruise, who was chastised for promoting his film during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, has revealed that “she’s just a woman I greatly admire.”

The Mission: Impossible actor attended the “A Gallop Through History” performance at the Royal Windsor Horse Show at Home Park in Windsor on Sunday as part of the official celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Queen Elizabeth also attended the conclusion of a four-day horse show commemorating her 70th year on the throne, which drew a star-studded cast that included Hollywood actor Tom Cruise and British actress Helen Mirren.

“She’s just a woman I admire,” Cruise said ahead of the event. “I believe she is a person of great dignity, and I admire her devotion. Her achievements have been historic.”

The horse show kicked off the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, which will culminate in four days of national events beginning June 2. On Friday, the Queen also attended the show.
