Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian wedding took place last week when the couple went to Italy for their ceremonies.

After being involved in an aircraft crash in 2008, the Blink-182 drummer overcome his phobia of flying and embarked on this journey almost a year ago.

Travis’ now-wife Kourtney was by his side when he flew again last year, thirteen years after the disaster.

Travis Barker was one among six passengers in a small plane to Nuys, California, on September 19, 2008. The jet was taking off from Columbia Metropolitan Airport when it was involved in an accident, according to reports.

Air traffic controllers claim to have seen flames as the plane lifted off before it missed the runway and crossed a nearby roadway, according to a 2008 story by the Los Angeles Times.

Along with his friend and collaborator, DJ AM, Barker was one of two survivors. The drummer had 65 percent of his body burned, and in addition to his physical injuries, he has spoken openly about his PTSD.

Travis Barker boarded an aircraft again in August 2021, according to TMZ, as he and his now-wife Kourtney Kardashian headed to Cabo, Mexico.

He told Nylon after the trip that he had never imagined flying again before meeting Kourtney.

Barker explained: “She’s definitely that for me. I’m invincible when I’m with her. It’s like I never dreamed, I never even considered flying again.”

The pair arrived in Italy with their families last week to celebrate their nuptials in a ceremony in Portofino.

According to Page Six, Italy was Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian’s second destination after Mexico. They even paid a visit to the Italian village where they had their wedding ceremony.

The couple had already had two other weddings before flying to Italy. Following the Grammy Awards last month, the pair exchanged vows in a Las Vegas church without a marriage licence.

They tied the knot in Santa Barbara earlier this month and acknowledged their marriage on Instagram by posing beneath a sign that read “Just Married”
