Will Smith, a Hollywood actor, is facing serious consequences for his infamous slap during the 2022 Oscars ceremony, in which he smacked comedian Chris Rock for making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair loss condition.

While several of Smith’s projects have been cancelled or shelved in the aftermath of the slap scandal, the rumour mill has been churning with speculations that the Pursuit of Happiness actor may lose his role as Genie in the Aladdin sequel.

According to Giant Freakin Robot, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson may replace the King Richard actor in Aladdin 2.

According to the source, Disney has begun talks with Johnson about a role in the Aladdin sequel.

In Disney’s live-action release in 2019, the I Am Legend actor played Genie. The film was a huge success, and people praised the actor’s performance.

According to reports, Guy Ritchie will direct Aladdin 2 and it will be released in 2025.

Meanwhile, Smith is said to have gone to therapy to deal with stress related to his marriage to Jada Pinkett Smith.
