The animated series “I Am Groot,” based on the eponymous character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” will premiere on OTT on August 10.

Groot, a tree-like humanoid in the MCU, will be voiced by Vin Diesel, while “Guardians” director James Gunn will serve as one of the show’s executive producers.

The series will follow “Baby Groot’s glory days growing up, and getting into trouble among the stars,” according to Collider’s brief official synopsis.

“I Am Groot” has Ryan Little as the lead writer and Kirsten Lepore as the director.

Groot was last seen as a teenager in “Avengers: Endgame,” which was published in 2019.
