Britney Spears’ ex-husband has been arrested at the singer’s Los Angeles home – as she prepared to wed her partner Sam Asghari.

Jason Alexander, 40, was detained after police officers responded to a trespassing incident at the address.

Alexander was detained for an out-of-county warrant, according to a department representative, and was transferred from the site to a police station following the incident.

The private wedding ceremony between the singer, 40, and her 28-year-old fitness trainer boyfriend was set to take place on Thursday, according to reports.

Alexander, her previous partner, broadcast an Instagram live story from near the home shortly before the event, saying he was come to “crash” the wedding.

In September of last year, Spears and Asghari announced their engagement, with the singer joking that the proposal was “way overdue.”

In November of last year, the Los Angeles Superior Court ended a 13-year conservatorship that had ruled over her life.
