Chris Rock has announced two London tour dates alongside fellow comedian Dave Chappelle.

The couple will perform at the O2 Arena on September 3 and 4, according to social media posts.

It comes after both men were assaulted onstage during performances in the United States earlier this year.

Will Smith hit Chris Rock when he made a joke about Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and her short haircut at the 94th Academy Awards.

Smith resigned from the Academy and was barred from attending the Oscars for ten years as a result of the now-famous event.

Last month, Chappelle was also assaulted while performing at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Posting news of the London shows on Instagram, Rock wrote: “This is really happening.”

Tickets will go on sale on Friday.
