Cillian Murphy says he “truly has no idea” about a ‘Peaky Blinders’ film

  • With Peaky Blinders’ final season approaching, Murphy was asked if he knew anything about a prospective movie, to which he replied negatively.
  • “I truly have no idea,” the 46-year-old actor revealed in an interview with Deadline.

“Steve (Steven Knight) is always surprising. When you read one of his scripts, it never turns out the way you anticipated it to. “It’s always the total opposite,” he continued.

“He manages to kind of parody that gangster narrative very effectively,” the Irish actor said. I’m not sure, I’m not sure at all. I haven’t read any film scripts or anything like that, so I’m afraid I can’t offer you an exclusive on that.”

Murphy, who prefers a vacation from the successful programme, stated, “…I believe it’s important for everyone to have a little break.” That’s usually a good thing to do, and then we can regroup.”

“Steve is an enormously busy and in-demand writer, but I know he loves writing Peaky above everything, as I’m sure he’s told you.”

Assuring fans of his return, the unique blue-eyed actor revealed, “He [Steve] enjoys it.” So, if there’s more story to be told, I’ll be there when the time comes.”
