The picture was well on its way down the slope when it received some bad reviews from critics, with the majority of them labeling it as generic. Fans were ready to dismiss the critics’ severe criticisms after seeing the film, but many were left profoundly disillusioned when they returned home from the theatre. Despite the fact that the verdict appears to be on the fence, some were quick to defend the franchise, taking to Twitter to express their great experiences with the nostalgic flick.
