Given that Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom debuted to $148 million in June 2018, more bullish experts anticipate Jurassic World Dominion will launch much north of $125 million. Jurassic World launched at $208.8 million in 2015.

One advantage is that Dominion will remove Top Gun 2’s Imax and premium big format displays. Another plus: Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, and BD Wong rejoin for the first time since their roles in director Steven Spielberg’s original Jurassic Park film (1993).

After missing JW Fallen Kingdom, director and Jurassic World architect Colin Trevorrow returns to direct JW Dominion, the last instalment in the Jurassic World trilogy starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

This time around, dinosaurs coexist — and hunt — with people all across the globe. Never-before-seen dinosaurs and unique visual effects are featured in JW Dominion.

The picture has now grossed over $55 million worldwide in 15 regions, including strong debuts in South Korea and Latin America, including Mexico and Brazil. This weekend, the film will be released in a slew of additional nations, including China, where it is one of the few Hollywood tentpoles to obtain a release (Top Gun 2 is not playing in the Middle Kingdom.)
