Kanye West another lawyer iin divorce battle from Kim Kardashian has stepped down. According to new court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, Samantha Spector filed a motion to be fired as West’s attorney in his divorce case with Kardashian on May 26.

“There has been an irreconcilable breakdown in the attorney-client relationship,” Spector said in court filings, explaining why she filed the motion and resigned from the couple’s continuing divorce proceedings. According to the filings, Spector delivered the petition to West and has communicated with him by email, mail, and his new attorney, Deborah Hong. Following West’s dismissal of Chris Melcher ahead of Kardashian’s March hearing, in which she was pronounced legally single — a legal victory for the beauty mogul — the famed divorce attorney, who previously represented Nicole Young in her divorce from Dr. Dre, took up the case earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Kanye West addressed his custody battle with Kardashian in his new song True Love, which features late rapper XXXTentacion. Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021, and West didn’t spend any time voicing his feelings about seeing his children. “Wait, when you see the kids? I’ll see y’all tomorrow. Wait, when the sunset? I see ya’ll tomorrow. Wait, when I pick ’em up? I feel like they borrowed.”

This follows West’s diss tune Eazy, in which he made references to his ex-girlfriend and famously targeted her boyfriend, Pete Davidson, in which he addressed his divorce from Kardashian.
