The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) 2022 finished its spectacular and glittery night in Abu Dhabi on Sunday (June 4), and the winners in several categories have been announced.

Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon won the award for Best Actor (Female) For her film Mimi. In her eight-year career, the actress won her first IIFA award.

The Heropanti actress took to Instagram to showcase a series of images in which she was seen savouring her victory.

She wrote in the caption, “Dreams do come true! All you need to do is keep working hard towards it and never lose faith! It has taken me 8yrs to get my first #BestActress award. . But I’m so happy that I received my first for #Mimia film I’ll treasure forever, a character that will always be special in my filmography!”

“Thank you @iifa for this validation and for an amazing evening!! Will always be grateful to #Dinoo @laxman.utekar sir for making me your Mimi for life and the whole cast and crew of Mimi for making this journey so memorable!,” she added.

The diva donned a yellow-colored, richly adorned ruffled gown for the star-studded event. The costume also included a spectacular yellow tulle trail and a thigh-slit in the center.

Sanon plays the title character in Mimi, with Pankaj Tripathi and Sai Tamhankar playing crucial roles.
