When the first episode of Game of Thrones aired, the actress told Entertainment Weekly that she was astonished to see a sex scene for her character and felt it was a prank by the show’s writers.

She said at the time, “I got to the read-through and I’m reading the scene and thought, ‘Oh, we’re actually going to do this. When do I shoot this? I need to go to the gym.’ A whole list of things.”
