Mel B will join the judging panel for the second season of Paramount+ drag queen singing contest Queen of the Universe.

On the panel, the singer joins RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage, Grammy nominee Vanessa Williams, and Drag Race All Stars winner Trixie Mattel, who are all returning judges.

Graham Norton will return as presenter, and Mel will take over for former X Factor winner Leona Lewis.

Mel B, real name Melanie Brown, carved out a career as a television host and judge after the Spice Girls split in 2000. She appeared on America’s Got Talent, The X Factor UK, Lip Sync Battle UK, and Dancing with the Stars Australia.

In each episode of Queen of the Universe, drag queens from all over the world will perform a fresh musical performance in front of a live audience and the Pop Diva Panel of judges in the hopes of being proclaimed Queen of the Universe.

The next season has yet to be announced, despite the fact that the first series premiered in December.
