According to the publication, the 22-year-old singer was cast in the role due to his “uncanny likeness to a young Paul.”

Blake, who is also a member of the rock band New Hope Club, said that he would occasionally use this resemblance and sometimes “conned” people by stating, “he is Paul’s grandson,” especially when travelling to various countries.

“The first time we went to LA, we were just 16,” he recounted, “and the cab drivers recognised our English accents and we’d be like, ‘This kid here, that’s Paul McCartney’s grandson.'”

“They’d enjoy it and then frequently tell us how they drove The Beatles,” he said.
