Obi-Wan Kenobi regains control of the situation. Fans were dangling above the series after last week’s episode 4, with many openly dissing the episode. However, episode 5 is back for redemption, as fans on Twitter expressed their delight with the episode, even proclaiming it to be the finest yet.

On Wednesday, Disney released the series’ semi-finale, which enthralled fans who were overjoyed to see Hayden Christensen reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker after 17 years. The episode began with a flashback of everyone’s favourite Jedi Kenobi, played by Ewan McGregor, and Anakin Skywalker, played by Hayden Christensen. In the series, Christensen will also portray Darth Vader. Aside from the fans who were ecstatic to see Skywalker return on the screen, many others praised filmmaker Deborah Chow for the episode’s sheer brilliance.

Meanwhile, Moses Ingram, who plays Reva, has been lauded by fans. Ingram has recently been in the news for experiencing horrific racist slurs directed against her. When McGregor realised the situation was deteriorating, he came out in support of the actress and called out all of the “fans” who were essentially bullying her. In a later interview, Christensen addressed the situation and denounced the acts of these so-called fans.
