Depp is best known for his role in the Pirates of the Caribbean films, and fans have idolised him for years. The actor did a fantastic job of bringing the role to life.

However, Amber Heard’s involvement in the franchise was cut after she claimed she had been abused by JD. Both are currently on trial after Johnny filed a defamation suit against Amber after she accused him of defaming him. The jury is now deliberating after hearing the closing statements on May 27.

Dwayne Johnson, another well-known Hollywood actor, is rumoured to be in talks to replace Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The Rock has the star power, talent, and charisma to pull it off, and he is one of Hollywood’s most in-demand performers, receiving offer after offer.

Is he, however, truly replacing Johnny Depp? A sixth Pirates of the Caribbean film is in the works, with producer Jerry Bruckheimer revealing that two screenplays are being written. One with and one without Margot Robbie in mind. Depp’s comeback to the franchise is uncertain, according to Jerry, and he won’t be resuming his role as Jack Sparrow for the time being.

This could lead to speculation that The Rock could be considered for the other script mentioned by Bruckheimer. However, no additional information regarding him joining the Pirates team had surfaced prior to this. Furthermore, if these rumours were true, they would have been reported on a far larger scale.

Plus, if Dwayne Johnson is truly replacing Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, why would the Pirates of the Caribbean mention Margot Robbie’s name but not Dwayne Johnson’s? As a result, it’s only a rumour.
