Prince Louis was observed in the Royal Box at the Jubilee Pageant shushing his mother, Kate Middleton, by placing his palm over her lips, as if he’d had enough of the Platinum Jubilee. The video went viral on social media and sparked a debate among royal fans.

A video of the 4-year-old immediately went viral, with some finding pleasure in his cheekiness and others wondering how the British media would respond if one of Meghan Markle’s children had behaved in the same way.

As soon as the video went viral on social media it had 1,200 likes and nearly 200,000 views. Some commenters criticized him for his actions, while others begged the internet to be patient with the toddler.

A twitter user wrote, “They’ve made this baby sit through days of public events that he probably finds very boring.”

“If this was archie we wouldn’t hear the end of it,” another user wrote.

When Prince Louis joined his brothers, parents, grandparents, and great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, for a final balcony appearance to finish out the weekend’s celebrations, he appeared to be in better spirits.

Meghan and Harry were in London for the Jubilee, but they did not present at the Pageant. They were present at Trooping the Colour on Thursday, but were not photographed with the royal family on Buckingham Palace’s balcony. They were also spotted at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Friday for a church service. They allegedly celebrated their daughter’s first birthday in Windsor on Saturday.
