After the Platinum Jubilee celebrations ended on Sunday, Queen Elizabeth sent a thank-you note.

The United Kingdom was in full celebration mode. A “party at the palace” event featuring Diana Ross and Andrea Bocelli kicked off on Saturday to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne.

The queen, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, did not attend the two-and-a-half-hour ceremony in person, instead of watching it on television from Windsor Castle.
