Sara Ali Khan to star in Dream Girl alongside Ayushmann Khurrana?

  • The directors of Dream Girl have opted to maintain Ayushmann Khurrana as the male protagonist in their upcoming sequel.
  • However, according to recent sources, they are looking for a female lead.
  • According to a Mid-Day source, Sara Ali Khan is the preferred choice for Dream Girl 2 director Raaj Shaandilyaa.

According to a source close to the producers, they are seeking for a “feisty, young lady” and believe “Sara fits the description.”

“The producers have began discussions with her. It is, however, still in its early phases. “The film will not go into production until later this year,” a source informed the site.

The publication also stated that Sara and Ayushmann had collaborated with Maddock Films, but the movie was never completed owing to the pandemic.

For the uninitiated, the original Dream Girl was launched in 2019 and quickly became a fan favourite due to its narrative and idea.

It also starred Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, and Abhishek Banerjee as the female lead, Nushrratt Bharuccha.
