Following the recent split of singer Shakira from soccer player Gerard Pique, the singer is allegedly being stalked by people who have been sending letters to her home. The singer’s family reportedly contacted the police and reported the incident, according to the media. Fans have been writing to her asking to get married at her home in Barcelona.

Regarding her and Pique’s breakup, the couple had been dating for 11 years before calling it quits. When Gerard appeared in the Waka Waka music video during the 2010 South African World Cup, the two became friends. In a joint statement, the couple declared their separation, saying, “We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.“

Suzy Cortez, a Brazilian model, later claimed that Pique had sent her lewd messages while he was still dating Shakira. As per media reports, Cortez insisted that after meeting Gerard through her friend Sandro Rosell, she allegedly started receiving messages from him on Instagram.
