- It will follow J.C. Chandor’s ‘Kraven the Hunter,’ starring Aaron Taylor Johnson.
- The Madame Web is due out in January.
Tahar Rahim, joins Madame Web which represents in the comics as an old woman with myasthenia gravis who was tethered to a life-support system that resembled a spider web. Madame Web never actively fought any villains due to her age and sick condition.
As a result, insiders say it’s likely the project will morph into something different. According to insiders, she is Sony’s version of Doctor Strange owing to her psychic sensory abilities. As of yet, Rahim’s role in the film remains unknown.

Sony is currently on a roll, with ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ grossing more than USD 500 million globally and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ grossing USD 1.85 billion worldwide.
Rahim just concluded production on Ridley Scott’s ‘Napoleon,’ in which he co-starred alongside Joaquin Phoenix. He is most recognised for his star-making appearances in ‘A Prophet’ and ‘The Mauritanian.’

Last year, he received critical acclaim for his role as serial murderer Charles Sobraj in Netflix’s ‘The Serpent,’ in which he offered a terrifying performance.
According to Deadline, he will next be featured in Apple TV Plus and Scott Z Burns’ limited series ‘Extrapolations,’ as well as Serge Bozon’s French musical ‘Don Juan,’ which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
