The release date for Jemima Goldsmith’s ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It?‘ is out and we’re all hyped up about it.

As per Studio Canal, Jemima Goldsmith’s film venture will hit theaters on January 27, 2023.

 

Last December, we got our first look at the film. The image teased a glimpse of Cinderella’s Lily James and Shehzad Latif from Star Trek: Discovery.

The film is a romantic comedy, as the title suggests. This, however, will be a cross-cultural romance. The film follows Zoe (Lily James) as she makes a documentary about her friend Kazim’s (Shehzad Latif) arranged marriage journey in London and Lahore.

According to sources, the Goldsmith heiress was inspired to make this film by her marriage to former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Lily James, Shazad Latif, Emma Thompson, Shabana Azmi, Mim Shaikh, Asim Chaudhry, and Jeff Mirza are among the cast members of What’s Love Got To Do With It? Sajal Aly, from Khel Khel Mein, will also appear in the film.

Aside from handling production, Jemima Goldsmith also penned the script for the project, Meanwhile, Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur directed the movie. This marks her debut film production under the banner of her company Instinct Production.
