Zayn Malik treated his 45.6 million followers on Instagram with his gorgeous vocals as he surprisingly sang One Direction’s popular song You & I.

Zayn Malik, who was a key member of One Direction (which also included Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan) until he left the band in 2015, has astonished everyone with his recent Instagram post. While Zayn has largely avoided discussing 1D in favour of focusing on his solo career, the 29-year-old singer made fans nostalgic with a singing video published on his Instagram page.

Zayn Malik’s song choice had everyone talking, despite the fact that the post was only uploaded a few days ago. He treated his 45.6 million followers to his exquisite vocals, something he’s done several times before (remember his heavenly Allah Ke Bande cover?!). Zayn can be seen singing One Direction’s iconic song You & I in the eight-second dramatic black and white video. Furthermore, Malik’s renowned high note near the climax of the song is belted out with elegance by the Pillowtalk singer. While several of Zayn’s achievements are displayed on the mantle next to him, he wears a merch shirt and a hairband to control his wild black curls.

Zayn’s You & I video post had already received 900k+ likes in an hour and a half, and it had been viewed nearly two million times at the time of writing this piece. Directioners have swamped the comments area, with @kacey.mcclain commenting on our behalf “ARE WE ALL OKAY??? “1D REUNION???,” @liluhpugh immediately, while “IS EVERYONE BREATHING???””
