Zendaya and Tom Holland, who feature in Spider-Man: No Way Home, were huge winners at the MTV Awards on Sunday (Monday in India). Zendaya earned an award for Best Performance in a Show for her show Euphoria, while Tom won Best Performance in a Movie for the superhero blockbuster.

Scarlett Johansson was also named Best Hero for her performance in the film Black Widow, in which she played the title character. Daniel Radcliffe, who played Voldemort in Harry Potter, earned the Best Villain award for his portrayal in The Lost City. For his role in the film Free Guy, Ryan Reynolds won the award for Best Comedic Performance.

The MTV Awards, according to AFP, encourage fans to vote for their favourites many times since they reward mainstream and commercial blockbusters with enormous and committed social media followings. Vanessa Hudgens hosted the event, which she eventually handed over to Tayshia Adams.
