Daisy Edgar-Jones has described as “bonkers” that Taylor Swift recorded a song for her forthcoming film.

The 24-year-old plays a resourceful young girl who grows up in a North Carolina swamp in Where The Crawdads Sing, which is based on the Delia Owens novel.

Carolina, a song that Swift penned and recorded just for the movie, will reportedly play over the closing credits.

“If I’d told my younger self that Taylor Swift would do a song for something I’m in… bonkers,” Edgar-Jones said in a statement.

Reese Witherspoon, through her production firm Hello Sunshine, is a co-producer of Where The Crawdads Sing.
