Harry Styles postponed a show in Copenhagen after a tragic shooting at a neighboring shopping center.

The 28-year-old former member of One Direction was scheduled to perform as part of his highly anticipated Love On Tour performances on Sunday night at the Royal Arena venue.

In contrast, Danish police responded to a gunshot on Sunday afternoon in the Field’s retail centre, which is located less than a mile from the arena and on the southern outskirts of the city.

A statement from concert promoter Live Nation said: “Tonight’s concert with Harry Styles has been canceled by direction of the Danish Police.

“We are all truly devastated by the events of today and our thoughts are with the victims and their families.

“We are looking into future possibilities for the show, and hope to be able to give ticket buyers direct information as soon as possible.”

When the event was canceled and everyone was ordered to leave, large crowds had already formed inside the arena.

In the upcoming weeks, performances by groups like Pearl Jam and Queen + Adam Lambert are scheduled at the location.

The Danish royal house said after the shooting that it had postponed a reception with Crown Prince Frederik related to the Tour de France.

The celebration was scheduled to take place on the royal yacht, which is anchored in Sonderborg, where this year’s third leg of the race concluded.

Styles was scheduled to tour the globe with his Love On Tour concert in 2020, but the pandemic prevented that from happening.
