The movie makes reference to the horror-comedy subgenre and eerily resembles the 2017 Telugu film “Anando Brahma” from India.

Lafangey’s story largely centres on four men. Who, enter a haunted house that has been taken over by spirits for some selfish reasons. However, the premise, production design, lifted characters, camera angles, and cut points are all straight out of “Anando Brahma.’ Even the opening act, where Saleem Mairaj is flying on a chair. To the moment where Mani plays the flute in front of an empty chair.

The producers haven’t said anything yet about the plagiarism charges. It is regrettable that our filmmakers copy and paste. To keep local film alive, it is vital to push out creative content.
