On Instagram, Rajkummar posted a throwback clip from his 2017 movie Newton. He uploaded the video clip, which featured some of the movie’s most well known lines and sequences, and thanked the fans for their continuous love and support. The video displayed the numerous national and international awards the film had received for his work in Newton, Rajkummar received the Asia Pacific Screen Award for best actor.
In the video’s caption, Rajkummar used the hashtag “Newton.” Actress Aparshakti Khurana reacted with heart emoji on his post. A fan wrote, “This is the best movie I’ve ever watched.” Regarding the accolades the film had received, another fan comment, “Congratulations,” and one of his fan wrote, “Love you sir.”
Rajkummar Rao plays the lead in the movie Newton, which is directed by Amit V Masurkar and has a story that takes place during elections which is the biggest democracy in the world. It was chosen as India’s official entry for the best foreign language film at the 2018 Oscars and premiered in September 2017. Sanjay Mishra, Anjali Patil, Raghubir Yadav, and Pankaj Tripathi were also the part of this film.
The 67th Berlin International Film Festival, popularly known as the Berlinale, is where Newton had its international premiere and took home the CICAE award from the International Federation of Art Cinemas.
Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010) served as Rajkummar’s acting debut. He then achieved popularity for supporting characters in Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2 and Talaash: The Answer Lies Within (2012). In addition, he got featured in a number of films, including Stree, Ludo, Kai Po Che, Shahid, Queen, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Aligarh, and Ludo. Rajkummar won the 2014 National Film Award for his film Shahid.
