It was undoubtedly a significant improvement over that modest Star Wars Celebration teaser, but the press statement also included a very depressing adjustment to the debut date for the Rogue One spinoff.

Originally, the first two episodes of the 12-part series were scheduled to air on August 31. Instead, a three-part launch will now take place on September 21.

Although there is no explanation for the delay, the fact that it occurred after D23 and Disney+ Day may be instructive.
