Prince William under fire for spreading rumours about Prince Harry’s mental health
Prince Harry seemed to reconnect with his brother Prince William in the UK, but royal sources feel that a lasting reunion is unlikely, according to Mirror UK, following Queen Elizabeth’s death.
Despite allegations of a longtime enmity, the Duke of Sussex and Prince of Wales put on a unified face after the death of the Queen, together with their spouses Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, even venturing out together to greet mourners at one point.
The brothers also marched side by side behind the Queen’s coffin in two separate processions, but royal advisers remain sceptical.
According to one insider, “The family continue to be in mourning and are now finally being allowed to grieve for the Queen away from the gaze of millions. However, any talk of a truce between the Prince and the Duke would only be temporary.”
“There is still a serious amount of distrust in the air and there hasn’t been any cause for that to change. The feeling is very much that there is little point in pursuing a repair in relations until all the cards are on the table,” the same source added.
This comes as preparations to publish Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir later this year seem to be continuing, although with a little delay, and insiders indicate that King Charles and Prince William are still ‘increasingly unhappy’ about the book’s content.
