Salma Hayek, an actress, paid a moving homage to Queen Elizabeth II after learning of her passing on Thursday at the age of 96.

On Friday, the 56-year-old posted a picture of the Queen on Instagram.

“Each day is a new beginning, I know that the only way to live my life is to attempt to do what is right, to take the long view, to give of my best in all that the day offers, and to put my trust in God,” she wrote beside the photo.

“Queen Elizabeth II leaves us with the encouragement to strive for our best every day and a reminder that each day is a fresh beginning after being the longest reigning monarch in British history. My sympathies go out to her family and friends.

Let her soul rest in peace.
It happens at the same time as Britain is still in mourning over the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, who ruled the kingdom for an incredible 70 years until passing away peacefully at the age of 96 at Balmoral in Scotland.
