Taylor Swift fuelled rumours of a Lana Del Rey duet, on Friday.

In a video posted to her Instagram account, the vocalist of Blank Space provided her admirers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the creation of her next album Midnights.

Fans saw that Swift’s clothing in the video resembled the one she wore in an April 2017 shot with the 37-year-old Blue Jeans hitmaker.

Longtime Swift collaborator and producer Jack Antonoff was also seen in the group photograph in black and white.

Swift and Lana Del Rey, real name Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, have not publicly responded to the rumour.

During a performance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards last month, Swift made the announcement that she will be releasing a new album.

The singer’s eighth studio album, Evermore, was released in 2020; Midnights will be her first new song since then. It was a follow-up to the album Folklore, which won a Grammy Award.

Last year, she also released re-recordings of a number of her previous albums, including Red (Taylor’s Version).
