Rekha put her hand on Ananya’s shoulder in a different, more current picture of the two of them posing at an event while grinning.

Rekha wore a pink saree in the second photo, while Ananya wore a black outfit. Sharing the photos as a collage, Ananya Panday wrote, “Then and now – forever a fan girl. Happy birthday to the ulimate queen Rekha ji.”

Rekha is the child of renowned Tamil actor Gemini Ganesan and Pushpavalli, a Telugu actor. She made her acting debut in the Telugu movie Rangula Ratnam when she was 12 years old. She made her Bollywood acting debut as the lead in Sawan Badhon. Since then, she has been in a number of movies, earning praise for her work in titles like Gulzar’s Ijaazat, Shashi Kapoor’s Utsav, Muzaffar Ali’s Umrao Jaan, and Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Khubsoorat.

Ananya most recently appeared with Vijay Deverakonda in the poorly received film Liger. Her forthcoming films are Dream Girl 2 with Ayushmann Khurrana and Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan starring Adarsh Gourav and Siddhanth Chaturvedi.
