On Saturday, Buckingham Palace released a new photograph of King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince of Wales William, and Princess of Wales Kate Middleton.

Author and royal correspondent Omid Scobie referred to the image as “the future of the monarchy.”

Chris Jack’s photograph was liked by half a million Instagram users within a couple of hours of its posting.

According to the journalist, the shot was taken the night before the Queen’s funeral during a reception for Heads of State.
