In a recent interview, Katrina Kaif discussed the ideas for her upcoming movie Jee Le Zaraa, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra. The actor declared that she will be carrying all of the cosmetics from her own line, Kay Beauty, and insisting that they use them.

In a recent interview, Katrina discussed her passion for beauty and how it inspired her to launch the local cosmetics business Kay Beauty. While the company, which was established in 2019, has given Katrina Kaif a completely new fan base, the actor is excited for Alia and Priyanka to use her cosmetics when the trio films for their much anticipated road trip movie Jee Le Zaraa.

“Jee Le Zaraa is something, which is a super exciting film. And on that film, I am going to be taking this whole range of makeup (from her beauty line) to the girls (Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra) and be like ‘Girls, now you have to use this’… We are all looking forward to it. I mean that film has had its journey, but I think, when finally it does happen, it is going to be a lot of fun,” Katrina said.

Although Jee Le Zaraa was announced for 2021, filming has not yet started. It is being directed by Farhan, who most recently worked on the 2011 film Don 2, and will feature Zoya Akhtar’s sister in a producer/writer capacity. It is reasonable to conclude that Jee Le Zaraa will be worth the wait given the duo’s track record of writing, directing, and acting in travel-themed films, such as Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011).

Katrina also disclosed that she had done her own cosmetics throughout her career in the interview. The actor said, while some girls are obsessed with handbags, she was obsessed with makeup. “Makeup for me has always been a passion of mine. Some girls are obsessed with handbags, some people are obsessed with cars, some people are obsessed with clothes, for me it has always been makeup. I have done a lot of my makeup in my films throughout my career. (In) some of my songs and movies, I have done the makeup on my own; it is only later now that I have started using some of the wonderful makeup artists that I work with…”

The debut of Katrina’s next horror-comedy Phone Bhoot is imminent. The movie, which also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter, is slated for release on November 4. In the Gurmmeet Singh-directed film Phone Bhoot, Katrina plays a lovely “bhoot” (ghost) who offers Ishaan and Siddhant’s “bhootbusters” (ghostbusters) a business proposal.
