Twitter users reacts to trailer of Netflix’s series “Blockbuster”
Twitter followers couldn’t believe what they were seeing, when the teaser for Netflix’s forthcoming series “Blockbuster” was unveiled.
Netflix was established in 1997, and soon after, it started providing DVD rentals by mail, according to HuffPost.
According to reports, Blockbuster considered buying Netflix in 2000 but opted against it.
After experiencing years of significant financial losses and the launch of Netflix’s well-known streaming service in 2007, the rental shop company filed for bankruptcy in 2010.
The programme centres on Timmy (Randall Park), a Blockbuster Video manager, and his staff as they struggle to maintain the business’s lone remaining location.
On November 3, the first season of the show, which also stars Melissa Fumero and Olga Merediz, will premiere.
The fact that the show will only be available on Netflix furthers the irony of the situation.
After a number of recent closures, Timmy grimaces as he learns that their Blockbuster store is the “last one on Earth.”

Given the origins of Netflix and the reasons for the demise of Blockbuster, the very existence of this show is like exhuming the dead body of your arch enemy just to stab them again. pic.twitter.com/kIdNLSMVyc
