The movie opened on October 13 to full theatres and broke records on its first day. Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humaima Malick, and Mirza Gohar Rasheed also play important roles in the film directed by Bilal Lashari.

Even though it’s not in every theatre in the country right now, the movie did very well on a Thursday, which is a work day. It is without a doubt the biggest international release from Pakistan ever.

With a first-day domestic and international gross of around 10 crore, the movie could break every record in Pakistani cinema.

However, most theatre owners stopped showing the movie the very next day. On Twitter, journalist Hassan Choudary also explained what was going on.

The Current got confirmation from the film’s producer, Ammara Hikmat, that the news is true.

Theater owners say that movie makers and distributors have been asking for more money than what was written in the contract. Producers and distributors of movies want more money than what was written in the contract.
