Lea Michele made sure the parade had clear sky.

The 36-year-old actress launched the holiday broadcast with “Don’t Rain on My Parade” from Funny Girl.

Michele revealed on Instagram that she was in her dressing room at 5 a.m. after two Funny Girl gigs yesterday and was happy despite a “lovely” head cold. “”We’re excited,” she remarked. Today will be great. Impatient!”

Michele was joined by her castmates as they marched around New York City while she sang. After travelling among several band members and floats, Michele delivered a high note and then arrived before Macy’s Herald Square shop, where she finished the piece with a funny lyric alteration.

The audience applauded when Today hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb began the three-hour broadcast. A Beautiful Noise, Some Like It Hot, and The Lion King also performed throughout the parade. The Radio City Rockettes added drama.

Adam Devine, Sarah Hyland, and Flula Borg also attended.

Gloria Estefan, Paula Abdul, Big Time Rush, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, Fitz and the Tantrums, Mario Lopez and family, Ziggy Marley, Sean Paul, Kirk Franklin, and Jordin Sparks performed.

Mariah Carey performed “All I Want for Christmas Is You” before Santa Claus ended the parade. Michele returned to Broadway as Fanny Brice after 13 years.

The actress told that she was pleased to have friends and relatives in the audience. “I know Jon and John are coming,” she replied. “So I’m set. Great!”

Michele denied any backstage tension between her and Beanie Feldstein, who had the part before her. “I watched. I wrote her and praised her work “stated Michele. “Everyone thinks everything’s dramatic. I think it’s horrible and regrettable that people love pitting women against each other.”
