In honour of “Godzilla Day,” TOHO has just announced the long-awaited next movie in the Godzilla series.

The untitled film will be made by Takashi Yamazaki, a Japanese director who has won a lot of awards.

He will be in charge of the visual effects and also write and direct. We don’t know much about the movie yet, but we think it will be real life.

TOHO also said that the new movie has already been shot and will come out in Japan exactly one year from now, on November 3, 2023, which is the next “Godzilla Day.”

This is great news for people who like Godzilla. Since the first movie came out in 1954, TOHO has kept the franchise going.

But in the last few years, they haven’t been making as many movies. This will be TOHO’s first live-action Godzilla movie since Shin Godzilla, which came out in 2016.

When Shin Godzilla came out, it was the first live-action movie since Godzilla: Final Wars, which came out in 2004.

Even though TOHO has made animated movies since then and Legendary Pictures has made American movies about Godzilla, some fans say that nothing beats a live-action TOHO Godzilla movie.

Yamazaki is a great choice for many reasons to direct the new movie. He is a well-known Japanese director who has won several awards.

He also has experience with visual effects, which a Godzilla movie will definitely need. Yamazaki’s 2005 drama Always: Sunset on Third Street got him the most attention from around the world.

It won him the best director and best screenplay Japanese Academy Film Prizes, which are like the Oscars of the Japanese film industry.

He would also be a good choice for a Godzilla movie because he has already worked on one. Yamazaki was part of the team that worked on the special effects for Shin Godzilla.

It’s important to know that this movie will fit into the storyline set up by TOHO, who made the character in the first place.

It is not likely that this movie will have anything to do with the new Godzilla movies that Legendary Pictures has been making, like Godzilla (2014) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019).

But that franchise is still going strong as well. It just came out with Godzilla vs. Kong, and a sequel is being made in Australia right now.

There will soon be a spin-off show for this franchise on AppleTV+.

The news was first shared on the official Japanese Godzilla Twitter account, and then on the Japanese entertainment news site Mantan Web.
