After all of these years, our relationship has not changed. Even though it’s been fifteen years since the last episode of Laguna Beach: The Real O.C. aired, that doesn’t mean the cast has grown distant from one another.

“They’re all my best friends still,” Alex Murrel exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, November 1, about her former costars and classmates. “People think it’s crazy that you actually keep friends from high school. And I think it’s a really beautiful thing, because it was such a small town that we are still all in touch. Jason [Wahler] just moved, but before he moved, I’d see him and his wife all the time.”

The former reality TV personality continued: “And, you know, if we all got in a room together, it would be as if no time passed. That’s kind of the exciting part about [the show] all coming back to [Netflix].”

Murrel continued by saying that “even though we don’t talk every day, it’s like as if no time passed [when we do]” when she gets together with many of her former classmates. … I just have the impression that getting everyone together would be a lot of fun.

Lauren Olsen, who appeared on the acclaimed MTV reality show under the alias Alex H., shared a similar point of view. According to what she told Us, “[I] keep in touch with everyone primarily [through] social media, but there is no one that I really make plans to see or anything.” “Since I have moved to Santa Cruz, you won’t find me in Laguna any longer. However, if I were to see someone in passing or be in a group setting, there would be nothing but love, hugs, and memories exchanged between us.

Although Talan Torriero would be interested in participating in a Laguna Beach reunion, he believes that the cast members would have more fun than the fans would at such an event.

“It’s interesting, I get asked a lot, like, ‘Are we gonna ever do like an official reunion?’” the performance marketing executive told Us. “And I always joke that we should do like a Cabo spring break, like, Jersey Shore [Family Vacation] … But it would probably be pretty boring, right? Like, I would be in bed by 10 o’clock every day.”

“I stay in touch with Alex Murrel, we stay in touch probably the most,” she told Us. “Kristin as well. I actually just did the podcast with Kristen and Stephen [“Back to the Beach”]. That was really fun, to connect with both of them at the same time.” said Lauren Olsen (Alex H)

Jason Wahler said “I’ve stayed in communication with Stephen stay in communication with Kristin. We get the kids together and we hang out every so often.” the Hills alum told Us, adding that he’s also remained friendly with Cedric Channels and Dieter Schmitz. “Jessica [Smith] and I will message back and forth on Instagram here and there,” he added.
