The globe was in shock and sorrow after Pakistan experienced devastating flash floods, yet individuals displayed unwavering courage and gave more than they could.
Despite the fact that the floods have subsided, 33 million or more displaced flood victims still require aid and help in order to rebuild their lives.
Superfandom, “an end-to-end concierge service for the Metaverse,” is organising a charity auction in association with Pakistani actor Mehwish Hayat, Hollywood actor Kumail Nanjiani, and Oscar and Emmy-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy to collect money for the flood victims.
“Come join us and these incredible icons to help restore the lives of 33 million people who were devastated by the flash floods,” reads the post on the charity’s official Instagram account, which also posted the poster. Get special access to things like 1-on-1 Zoom calls, one-of-a-kind products, and more.
The auction appears to be planned for November.
In Pakistan, recent floods destroyed a third of the nation and forced tens of millions of people to flee. The scenario was described by the administration as “an epic socioeconomic calamity induced by climate.”
