Chris Rock had a rough childhood.
The comic had a hard life growing up. He is the oldest of Rosalie and Julius Rock’s six children. At the white neighbourhood school, he was picked on and hurt. He quit school and started working at fast food places.

2. Going to nightclubs to do stand-up comedy
Eddie Murphy taught Rock how to do stand-up comedy after seeing him perform in a nightclub in 1984 at New York’s “Catch A Rising Star.” This was when Rock was just starting to do stand-up comedy. He joined SNL in the end, but was fired.

Big Ass Jokes, the comedian’s HBO special, was first shown on TV in 1994. With the 1996 movie Bring The Pain, he became one of the best-known comedians in the United States.
