After co-anchors T.J. Miller and Amy Robach of GMA3 Gayle King weighs in on the situation after Holmes were pulled off the air amid romance rumours, saying, “It’s just gotten very messy and very sloppy.”

Following the co-anchors of GMA3 Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were briefly taken off-air amid relationship rumours, and the co-host of CBS This Morning has commented on the matter, calling the recent scandal, to put it mildly, “interesting.”

During the Watch What Happens Live segment on December 8, she stated, “It’s just gotten very messy and very sloppy.” I actually thought, “Good on Good Morning America. They’re saying they’re not taking them off the air. It’s two consenting adults,” at first. “I do think that.”

But the more you read, the messier it gets, she continued.

Robach, who has been wed to Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue since 2010, and Holmes, who wed lawyer Marilee Fiebig that same year, both deactivated their respective Instagram accounts after the Daily Mail published pictures of the two from a getaway on Nov. 30.

Robach is the stepmom to Shue’s three children as well as the mother of two daughters from a previous marriage. Holmes and Fiebig have a 9-year-old daughter together named Sabine.

Having said that, Gayle’s main attention is on people besides the two co-hosts.

She continued, “I think, to me, it’s just a sad situation because you’ve got kids involved,” “You’ve got families involved, and I keep thinking about that. I’m very concerned about that.”

After the photos were published, Holmes and Robach initially went back to their news desk, but they haven’t been there since the beginning of this week.

According to numerous publications, ABC News President Kim Godwin decided to temporarily remove the duo from the air on December 5.

The news source quotes a source who was on the call as saying that Godwin stated, “While the relationship is not a violation of company policy, I really have taken the last few days to think about and work through what I think is best for the ABC News organization,” “These decisions are not easy, they are not knee jerk, but they are necessary for the brand and for our priority which, you guys know, are all of is—the people here at ABC.”
