Jacqueline Fernandez, who stars in Cirkus opposite Ranveer Singh and Pooja Hegde, experienced a setback and withdrew her appeal to travel overseas from a Delhi court. She’s being watched by government agents since she’s suspected of laundering Rs 200 crore. The 37-year-old actress has appeared in Race 2, Housefull 2, Kick, and Judwaa 2.

The star reportedly addressed the judge about her decision after the judge said charges should come first. “Pull the application and decide the charge first.” The judge answered, “If not, I’ll order it.”

The actor consulted with her lawyers and told the court she was dropping her application “at this point,” PTI said.

During the arguments, the Enforcement Directorate said that if she was allowed to leave the country, she might not come back.

“She is from another country. “Even though she has a career here, she can also have a career somewhere else,” the agency that fights money laundering told PTI.

In this case, the next court date is January 6.

What Happened
Since December 2021, Fernandez has been under scrutiny for her role in a Rs 200 crore money laundering case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is in charge of the investigation, talked to Fernandez. In August of this year, the Enforcement Directorate charged Jacqueline Fernandez with money laundering in the same case as Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who was a con artist.
